Title: Decisions
Medium: Digital Collage size: 24 in x 36 in The intentions of this artwork were to show how people can choose their own path since you're the only one that can make you decide things. Since the medium we used was Photoshop and using only pictures we took, It was all created by me with the help of the program called Photoshop or Photo-pea. My artwork shows surrealism as there are things out of the ordinary but also things from the "real world". The artist that influenced my artwork was Rene Magritte. This artist uses surrealism in most of his work. Surrealism is using unreal things and adding them to the real world making it look like there are different realities. |
Title:Thoughts

This artwork was influenced by the artist Rene Magritte. Especially looking at her artwork called, The Son of Man. The objects used were purchased but the work was self made. |
Title: Dragon Head

The artwork was created with cardboard and glue. |

Tittle: Self Reflection
Size: 36 cm by 36 cm Medium: Acrylics on canvas This is a self portrait that combines the famous M. C . Escher Hand with reflecting Sphere. I added my own face to this painting and the mediums used are acrylic paints on canvas. The canvas was created while the paints were purchased. This piece is supposed to show how one has to reflect on himself and become a better version of oneself. |
Title: Endoskeleton
Medium: Ink on canvas Size: 8 in x 10 in For this project I looked at a bird's skeleton and its actual body and decided to make almost like a print of both things. I did this artwork to try to show how things sometimes look different but deep down they serve the same purpose. An artist that inspired me was Paul Jackson who has made similar art pieces like the one I created. He uses an idea of dissection on the creatures he illustrates to show more of the creature for example its skeleton and its brain or nerves. The mediums used in this project were bought. |
Title: Light
Size:12 in by 9 in Medium: Acrylic on canvas For this work I tried to use new painting techniques as well as work on something I lack. My inspiration for this piece was Caspar David Friedrich. The materials used for this artwork were bought. This piece is supposed to show how you are the one who "lights" up your own path by the decisions you take. |
Title: New and Old
Medium: Color pencil on illustration paper Size: 7 by 7 in As I created this project I wanted to contrast the new things with the old.Such as the old fireplace against the new digital alarm and the new locomotive. Someone that really inspired my work was Rene Magritte who is a very well known surrealism artist. Everything I used in this project was bought. The Final piece of artwork was really inspired by Rene Magritte's work called Time Transfixed. |
